NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 1a. Bulk reel: 234. Extra cut(s) on bulk reel: 235; Extra cut length: 9:55a) 26/IX/69. 7:05 AM. Light cloudy. A flying "flock." In all this cut there is a large assembly of parrots which included the present species as welll as Pionus seniloides. I did not succeed in determining which sounds correspond to which species. Quality: 2. Level: +3. Nagra IV & EV 650, Tape speed: 7.5. 139 tape.b) 26/IX/69. 7:30 AM. Light cloudy. Foraging birds. The birds kept moving from tree to tree in the general area and this is really a ~ continuation from cut 1) of Pionus seniloides. I think most of the sounds in this part are of A. mercenaria, but there are no doubt at least some by P. seniloides. See also cut 1) of P. seniloides. Quality: 1-2 & 1. Level: +3. Nagra III & EV 650, 36" parabola. Tape speed: 7.5. 139 tape.c) 27/IX/69. 7:30 AM. Thin cloudy. (Dictated as "b" by error.) Foraging birds; all seen appeared to be A. mercenaria. Faint in background is apparently Columba fasciata; also a Geotrygon, possibly linearis. Also some chatter by Scytalopus (possibly latebricola). Nagra IV, EV 650, 36" parabola. Tape speed: 7.5. 139 tape.
