Observation details
Found by Louie Dombroski two days ago. I found a large group of Bonaparte's Gulls about a mile west of Oak Beach County Park. After a short time I located the Little Gull sitting on the sandspit. I took photos for several minutes, then went back to my car to call a few local birding friends and to get my larger lens. By the time I walked back out there a few minutes later, the Little Gull had disappeared. By the time my friend got there, about half the gulls had left, and more were leaving. We were unable to find the Little Gull again. I made a short foray to the Huron County Nature Center and Oak Beach County Park, then returned and searched until 4:25 with no luck. Most of the Bonaparte's had vanished by this point.
