Observation details
Found earlier today by Matthew Bell in Milford. As identified by Aidan, they belong to the Western subspecies, characterized by pink bills that strongly contrast with their orange legs, a long and thin neck, and an overall coloration that is not a dark chocolate brown. Furthermore, they display broad white flank stripes. It is worth noting that Connecticut has only documented two instances of the Western subspecies on eBird, whereas the Greenland subspecies is predominantly found in this area. Pictures to follow
