Observation details

Juvenile, have many distant pics. Orange-yellowish bill lacking the white behind the bill like an adult, clean white under tail, orange legs out of the water when scratching or preening, little darker head coloring compared to neck color, smooth brown neck with no stripes or barring, unfortunately stayed in water or was facing away to see how much splotchiness on the belly. Barely bigger than nearby mottled ducks. Seen on the blue trail before the bluff overlook going counter clockwise from the Mulberry Park parking gate
