Observation details
Perched on the East side, over the shoulder. While driving by, I originally thought this was a late TUVU so I doubled back to check (naturally!). Imagine my surprise when I saw the golden nape! This is a lifer for me so I watched it for a while, double parked, luckily there wasn't too much traffic. The eagle was generally still, wasn't bothered by the cars zooming past, or me stopped, and I think was flushed by a jogger who was coming along. The eagle was perched only about 10 feet up so the jogger on the shoulder was actually closer than any car. The eagle flew south along the road with languid wingbeats and then crossed the road, perching again low down, in the thicket on the West side, within 5m of the shoulder. Best landmark was right across from the white memorial bicycle and North a few paces. Banded too but couldn't get the number, see last photo.
