Female carrying ‘Ōhi’a (Metrosideros polymorpha) branch in mouth.
Observation details
Male and female pair from upper territory (below barn) heard calling and singing. Seen foraging in Koa alongside service road. Female seen picking up a thin ‘Ōhi‘a branch and shook it back and forth. She took off to the north. Possible nest construction underway.
