Observation details

Continuing; first located by Holly Cox on 1 December; immature male; tiny hummingbird; small size particularly evident when perched; short-tailed with wingtips extending slightly beyond tail when perched; green upperparts; buffy wash to underparts; brownish forehead; short straight black bill; spotted throat with a few magenta spots; in photos of partially fanned tail in flight: white tips to R5-R3, shorter R1 gives slightly forked appearance, no rufous visible at feather bases (in photos at least); photographed.
