Three swamphen in background, two comparitivly smaller gallinules in foreground.
Observation details
Huge gallinule-type bird, dwarfing the common gallinules that were nearby making for good comparison. Large stout bill. Looked like 2 adults and 2 immatures. The adults had red face shields. In center of the pond. Poor cell phone photos taken thru scope. At the CR 664 pond at 27.6338, -81.8600.
