Observation details
Foraging in a single tight flock along the plowed berm of French Creek Road. They were flushed by my parked car multiple times and moved farther away from me. Each time, I slowly moved my car closer and shut it off. They were in the section of French Creek Road between Flatts Road and the Glover farm, which has a silo and a grain storage structure. I captured poor voucher photos. I couldn’t get close enough to determine if there were a couple HOLAs and LALOs in with them. When they flew, all but a couple had white on them. Two were basically all dark (likely Lapland Longspurs). However, when I was editing my photos, I did verify one LALO (see photo, above). I didn't get out of the car to look at them with my spotting scope, which I had with me.
