Observation details

Puzzled a lot over this hawk. Looking at my rather poor attached pictures, more characteristics point to female COHA than SSHA. No sign of raised hackles giving head a roundish appearance, but dark on top of head is darker than nape color (SSHA should have head and nape same color). Tail looks a bit short for COHA, but definitely rounded with what appears to be a fairly wide white band at tip. Legs don't appear sticklike as would be expected for SSHA.
