Observation details

Seeing this bird at wetlands in Akola was normal, but before 10 yrs. Now they are vanished from the wetlands in Akola. I have been observing birds in Akola for many years, this is the first time I have seen a Great - thick knee at a wetland in 10 yrs. I have seen them in neighbouring districts of Washim and Amravati, and they are present there. I have discussed this concerning situation with many birders. I have visited this same wetland before but none were seen. But this time there was hope, a good number of birds sighted at the wetland in suitable rocky habitat where they were well camouflaged. Me and my team will try to monitor their presence at this place.
