Observation details

***mega; continuing individual, moving between yards in the neighborhood. First state record and first for New England, but not unprecedented given the recent expansion of this species. Unique brown bird with large white speckles and streaks. Long legs, long bill with yellowish base. The speckling all throughout the body and wings is consistent with this subspecies group. This group is also more expected and has been the one pushing north in recent years. Moving in and out of yards in this neighborhood. Mostly around 5 Moorland Road.
