Media notes
This is on the frozen part of the lake. Lower part of frame shows AMCR footprints. As it was moving from bottom of frame to top, bird lowered it beak into the snow and continued walking with beak down on the ice scooping snow into its mouth snow-shovel style. Bird also pecked at snow after lifting its beak, then at rest pushed its beak two successive directions making the sideways "V" at upper left.
Observation details
Crows moved in to take advantage of situation where man was feeding something (corn?) to geese east of the lake. Good opportunity to study nasal bristles on AMCR.
