Observation details
Adult with the small flock of swans on the east side of the lake, just north of the I5 bridge. When we first arrived, there were only 5 swans, two Tundras and a family group of 3 Trumpeters. Mike saw 4 more swans fly in and land, one of them was the Whooper and the other three were another family group of Trumpeters. Same body size and shape as the Trumpeters it seemed to associate with the most. Clearly larger than the 2 Tundras it fed near at one point. The majority of the upper mandible is bright yellow. A yellow stripe on bottom of lower mandible extends 2/3 of the way to the tip.
