Observation details

Discovered simultaneously with Todd while searching for a potential jaeger. 1st winter small, compact gull with short, rounded wings, small head, short tail with a black band at the end, bold "M" pattern on wings with white trailing edge, somewhat dark underwings. The mist and fog made conditions very difficult for observing details, but we did not see any sign of a black collar as for BLKI, and the size, structure of wings (and flight) are consistent with LIGU.
