Observation details
Immature. This solo young Snow Goose tried to immerse itself in the DC Cormorant flock, but was rejected. It followed the Cormorant flock as they slowly traveled across Lake Wildwood. Then it flew into the edge of the flock and swam into the center. The closest Cormorants converged on it and chased it out to the fringe. I saw this happen twice. This is the first SNGO I have seen in 9 years here in the Lake Wildwood community. Previous closest observation was in Nov 2020 at Kneebone property, about 3/4 mile away as the goose flies.
