Observation details

*High count. Good numbers for this late. Both adults and first winter birds present around the commercial mackerel boats as they chummed live pilchards. As with the seasonally high number of SATEs and warm water, nearshore pelagic fish species, I suspect that calm seas and warming SSTs have caused wintering COTE to move inshore. Recording:
