Observation details
Lifer! Continuing bird. My second attempt was a success! At first the bird was seen at the far, far, FAR back of the pond. But even at a distance, unmistakable in the scope. It was very actively moving about for over an hour, giving better looks as it came a little closer and hugged the right side of the back of the pond. It became quite alert as other Canada Goose flocks began to disperse. It took flight solo at first and was then joined by a few Canadas. Flight shots show yellow banding code BIBV… I reported it to European program and they said it is not their bird. It is an Iceland bird. Will update when I hear from them. Distinct white face. Black chest. White belly. Photos to be added.
