First cycle on the breakwater: still with juvenile scapulars (oak leaf pattern); Thayer's like in structure, so likely a female, with dark tertials, black primaries, and very contrasting pale window on inner primaries in flight. Rather solid tail seems to rule out Vega. Second cycle in the water: icy blue mantle, eye turning pale, black primaries
