Observation details

I first detected the Orange-crowned Warbler by its chip notes, but my initial encounter didn’t yield a confirming look. I moved on and later passed through the area again, where the bird flushed. I saw it briefly, but it disappeared too quickly to count anything more than a BVD. After finishing the gull count, I heard the same distinctive chip note and was finally able to get a clean, sustained view. I even managed to triumphantly capture a set of digiscoped images.
