Observation details
Excellent find by Bill West! The bird was continuing with a small flock of sandhill cranes quite close to the fence along the east side of the road in the short grass field (35.5733052, -105.1866004). The flock flew off to the south east just before 1100. It did not appear as though something had spooked them off, rather they were on a mission to go to their next location.
