Observation details
This bird called its chit-chit when the hawk arrived at the weather station marsh. After the hawk flew, I inspected, immediately marking it as a wren after seeing the cocked tail and size/shape. I noticed its white eyebrow, darker rufous cap, overall orange tones, and the black and white patch on its back. It hopped among the reeds and cattails lower on the stem, making it harder to see the bird. It couldn't go far; it was in the patch of plants at the west end of the pond. I apologize for the photos. The bird was frantic, but not too afraid of me.
