Observation details

The only consolation of walking through a wheat field in the freezing cold to get to my survey point. Yes this is private land too, just to be clear. Walked right into a large HOLA flock with no less than 4 longspurs, audibly noticeable but I also got decent views of 2 together on a fence line. Recordings! Obviously this is a difficult to detect species but I have had quite the uptick this fall compared to previous years. Perhaps a really good fall/winter for them!
