Observation details
Males are iridescent black, with a pale eye. Females are plain, similar in coloring to a female cowbird but do not show a pale eye. See photos. It seems uncharacteristic, based on my experience, but these birds are mixed with Red Wings, starlings, cowbirds, and a few grackles.
