Observation details

Black and White Duck similar to Common Goldeneye but differs by having crescent shaped white facial patch. The white wing spots showing on the side are also more blocky in shape rather then wispy like Common Goldeneye. Seen far out in Lake Ontario at mouth of Lynde Creek. Mixed in with about 20 Common Goldeneyes. Distant photo shots.
