Observation details
Continuing first year male, amazingly found and since hosted by Magnus and Rosie. Took a while for it to come into the area, and wasn't associated with the Townsend's flock, as in previous encounters. First refound by Kyle L. flying in from the southeast. It soon disappeared, and was then briefly re-seen in the closest Doug fir by Reya and others. We went 10-20 mins with no bird, but it reappeared but below the deck in similarly brief fashion. I finally heard it chipping above the house and it came out for about a minute for most to see. Bright yellow warbler, slightly larger than nearby Townsend's, classic full, black burglar mask, and white rectrices. Chip similar to California Towhee, but not as sharp and maybe the frequency is a bit more constrained. Maybe a pic or two? Lifer for Aaron!
