Female mallard with 6 newly hatched ducklings hidden under her body in late November.
Observation details
A pair at the southeastern end has 6 newly hatched ducklings (!). They probably hatched today. The poor things were trying to keep themselves warm under the hen. I noticed them when they were walking briefly in the leaf litter. Really freakish and sad.
