Observation details

thought I heard calling out my bedroom window. couldn't spot one. spotted from living room on same tree two were on the 13th. hadn't seen since, so yay. when went to get my phone I saw quite a few birds fly away. the sapsucker was completely still on tree trunk for about 10 minutes. with just one or two slight head tilts. then sipped a bit of sap and flew off. wonder if there might have been a hawk around as he seemed to be in a freeze position.
