Observation details
Finally made a brief appearance a little before noon in the scrub on the east side of the road just south of the sharp bend, among a noisy flock of sparrows and cardinals. Heard chipping (Merlin confirmed) on the other side of the road a few minutes later. Blurry but diagnostic photo.
