Observation details
When we got into the parking lot, my friend noticed a flock of Canada Geese across the farm road opposite the parking area in the field behind a neighboring farm in a bit of a swale area where there are two large willow trees. We looked through our scopes and finally picked out a goose obviously smaller than the Canada Geese (duck size) that looked like a mini Canada with a short neck and stubby little bill. Markings and color a lot like a Canada, but with a darker breast. Within five or so minutes, something spooked the geese and they all took of flying southeast away from the farm and out of site. Quick lifer for both of us.
