Observation details

This immature Brown Pelican was discovered and photographed just before sunset at the foot of State Street in downtown Erie, PA, on Presque Isle Bay, by professional photographer, Scott Pelton, who is not on eBird. The bird continued to be observed for the next few days. It was seen in the late afternoon of 19 November 2025, in the same marina area by Frank Leonard, another non-eBirder.
