Observation details
Total flock of 200-250 (counted in rough 20s when the whole flock flew off to the northeast - a photo of most of the flock not the entire flock showed 225 birds in flight). Appeared to be mostly Brown-capped with a few Gray-crowned and 2 or 3 Blacks. Leaving about 75 as unidentified because I was only able to scan about half the flock while they were on the ground and it can also be quite difficult to distinguish Brown-capped and female/immature Gray-crowned, particularly this early in the season after they have just arrived for the winter. Along entrance road between highway and visitor center. Super stoked to find these guys!
