Observation details
TOWNSEND'S SOLITAIRE: First thinking this bird was a Catbird but slightly larger like a NOMO, but then I immediately noticed an upright stance. I also noticed a white eye ring, white wingbars, and over gray body and long tail with a hint of white on the outer edge. All pointing to an adult Townsend's Solitaire. My best looks ever, and good photos. Even better than Texas, where I have also seen this species. The TOSO was foraging in the Common Yew on the eastern side of the garden. Full disclosure....I searched for 45 minutes after my encounter and could not relocate. Tomorrow morning could prove productive? I added a few more pictures I had processed. 41°F Sunny Feels like 33
