Observation details
Continuing, flying over fields east of Milltail Rd just north of Long Curve Rd. Forages over fields east of Miltail Rd. and north of Long Curve Rd. Seen perched yesterday along Long Curve, but note stopping/parking along Long Curve between Milltail and Link is not allowed (Red Wolf protection), so probably best to park on Milltail about a 1/4 to 1/2 mile north of intersection with Long Curve Rd. and scan from here. This is where several of us were able to see and photograph it today. Has a light rump/base of tail (see second photo) and sometimes flies with a dihedral, so could be confused with Northern Harriers which are present here also. However, note the distinctive two-toned underwings with light coverts and dark flight feathers.
