Observation details

First heard calling from the tall pines in the parking lot SW of Via Mallorca x Villa La Jolla Dr. The bird moved to the eucs at the La Jolla Village Square entrance off Via Mallorca, then moved back to the previously-mentioned intersection. All-yellow tanager with silvery bill and strong contrast between the yellow throat and gray face. Giving "chup" calls often. Photo.
