Observation details

As we walked on the levee toward the LBBG spot, a massive adult pale gull with very little head streaking and completely white wing tips flew past toward the south. Passed alongside a GWGU, showing even larger size. Iris color was not seen clearly. Briefly landed in the water opposite the No Name Trail levee, before flying to the SW. Last seen flying SW over the levee near (37.5385065, -122.1057375). After a brief diversion to look for the LBBG, we scanned from the levee intersection at (37.5464506, -122.1092290), but we did not see it again. Only got mediocre and mostly washed-out photos, but the large size, unmarked white primaries, lack of extensive neck markings, and thick bill are visible.
