Observation details
Observed this small bright red headed and chested flycatcher with a short dark beak and black wings, in a pasture area, flanked by ponds, flying/feeding from a barbed wire fence to the ground and back for some 15 minutes then it perched for several minutes. I was able to take photos as it faced into the sun from the west. Other birders have reported this species in recent days.
