Observation details
a flock of at least 30 rosy-finches first located below the rocky cirque on the north side of Santa Fe Baldy, then they relocated to the sunny western slopes of Santa Fe Baldy above treeline. Very tricky to photograph, as they were moving between dark shadows and bright sunlight, foraging in dense grass, and quickly flushing when disturbed. Most of the flock only ID'd as rosy-finches by sight and sound.
