Observation details
Our neighbor recently purchased a dozen red backed otherwise entirely white ‘homing pigeon’, the flock was released this morning, now three are circling, but not yet returning ‘home’. Last week we saw one of these flock, suddenly taken mid-flight by a circling hawk, I presume the hawk was a common for our area Cooper’s, Red Shouldered or Red Tail Hawk. I am not certain which, most likely a Cooper’s Hawk. May I leave these ‘Homing Pigeon’ on my EBird list?
