Observation details
**MEGA** 4 th record for DE (ebird previous records 1993, 2020,2022 all from Bombay Hook and most in November of immature birds). Immature plumaged bird continuing in North end of Shearness Pool, mixed with other shorebirds including WRSA, SESA, WESA, and SEPL. Alternating feeding close to the road and further out in the flats. Has an injured right leg but at times placing weight upon it so maybe only an acute issue like sprain, all parts of leg appear present. Description: medium sized Calidris with prominent chestnut colored cap, white supercilium, orange breast with very limited streaking. Beautiful bird and very cooperative making crowd of at least 30 birders from many states very happy. Lifer. Photos and video
