Observation details
An accipiter swooped down and perched inside a neem tree downhill. Flew further away in a few minutes. It was dim and misty, so pictures aren’t too clear. Observed clearly with binoculars. In flight, seemed pretty slim and the tail had square-ish tip. The primary banding also pretty strong. When perched, the bird had strong vertical streaks on breast & horizontal barring on belly. The beak as well was not too heavy. Considering the bold dark rusty streaks and barring, Shikra can be eliminated. Build & beak was slim & weak, not as heavy as Crested Goshawk. Hence concluding the accipiter to be a Besra.
