Observation details
First heard calling along start of Saddle Rock Trail, then seen well foraging in thickets and along boulders near trail. Staying mostly of south side of creek. Very dark with obvious rufous undertones especially on throat, unlike Winter Wren. Calling constantly while I was there, a loud series of chip notes more raspy than Winter Wren, more akin to a Wilson’s Warbler call. Seen right around here (39.9973315, -105.2942773). Photos and audio to be added.
