Observation details
Continuing adult at same location as last week. South shoreline as viewed looking west from vantage point at SE picnic area/camps. Possible crappy doc shot. Bird moved aroundAbout 4-4:30 PM we shifted back to the western side of the lake and the caracara was standing on the grass flat extending west along the shoreline from the inlet canal. The bird was closer and in better light. We got closer on foot and then the bird took off and flew closer to us at it headed NNW across the southwest corner of the lake and flew out of sight over the hills in the distance (presumably to some favorite roost site).
