Observation details
Continuing at the north end of Shearness. Lifer! Good looks through bins and the scope as it foraged fairly close to the near edge of the pool. At times, it would effectively disappear amongst the grasses. I was surprised at how vivid how the reddish cap is, similar in color to a Chipping sparrow crown. Sadly, the bird had a pronounced limp, but it appeared to be foraging effectively.
