*Rare. Adult. Smaller than adjacent Herring Gulls, and also darker above but not nearly as dark as the adult Lesser Black-backed Gulls nearby. Heavily streaked head with dark smudgy area around eyes. Bright yellow bill with red spot. I really couldn't make out leg color.
