Observation details

First cycle. Medium brown bird with all black bill, rounded "dove like" head, and frosty edges to primaries (hard to make out in pictures due to distance and lighting). Flight shot shows smooth underwing and underparts pattern which for 1st cycle Herring Gull usually is more messy looking. Appeared only slightly larger than nearby RBGUs and much smaller than HEGUs.
