Observation details

Seen first flying along beach at South Beach Park where it briefly landed. Was mobbed by crows shortly after and eventually flew towards downtown. Medium-sized owl with long wings relative to slender body, and broad face. Paler, Buffy patch visible against darker brown wings in flight. Paler, slightly streaked undersides seen when perched. Broad, pale facial disks with dark patches around eye. Maybe a male with the overall paleness of the bird? Pic/video TBA.
