Observation details

4 adult males in tight group feeding close to main track. The species occurs sporadically in this small patch of vine scrub. It is absent for long periods and reappears now and again. The scrub is surrounded by housing so likely the birds are eventually predated by cats; there is no lantana or other dense vegetation for them to hide in as all weeds are removed by land carers.
