Observation details
One in black berry to the north of Pond 2 and one east of pond 2. First one was hard to photograph behind blackberry but flew from the ground to blackberry presenting itself as a strikingly smaller, daintier bird than the nearby Zono birds. In photo the strong Malar stripes do come through. The second bird was shockingly light colored on fence by enclosed ponds (like old time creme with vanilla popsicle). We then saw it in blackberry nearby. Shared both photos of birds with Paul Lehman who had Clay Colored and thought the second bird might have some pigment issues.(Ebird suggested Clay-colored when I tried Field Sparrow) Both birds were seen with Natalie Clark who birded with me about half the time I was onsite.
