Observation details

continuing bird reported by Sue P yesterday and possibly another. Distant scope views when I first arrived and spent the next couple of hours waiting for a closer approach for documentation photo opportunity. Seemingly spent most of the time submerged. Smaller than loosely associated Common Loons with smaller bill, dark back with some isolated white checkering, contrasting demarcation between back and front of neck with a faint chin strap. I have one photo that appears to show two Pacific Loons. I have other photos with the two near each other but not with their heads up together. Photos taken.
